Dublin’s Landmark Hotel the Gresham on O’Connell Street has recently appointed Paul O’Neill Marble Works for the design, supply and fix of a detailed marble floor to the inner lobby of the Hotel. We have been employed by Paul to assist with the survey and design and to complete all fixing and related works on site. The selected material is Nero Marquina (Black) Rosa Verona (Red) and Botticino (Cream) work was completed at the end of April on schedule and to the agreed budget. It has been some considerable time since we have meet such an enthusiastic client  willing to invest in Craftsmanship of the highest level without compromise. This completed project is something all our team members are extremely proud to have been a part off,  The floor itself a testament to Irish Craftsmanship will continue into the future as a benchmark of quality and craftsmanship in the city of Dublin.

North Wicklow Marble and Granite Ltd commence work on Aldi’s Terenure store with Glenbrier Construction Ltd. The material chosen for this project is Moca Crème Limestone form Portugal with a honed finish traditionally hand fixed to a reinforced concrete lift shaft structure, the programming for the installation of the escalators made the stone cladding a priority, having agreed terms on the 18th March we completed design and production delivering stone to site on the 21st of April, work on site is to be completed in two phases the first of which is complete with the second phase due to be complete mid May

Using some G684 granite capping with a flamed finish which was surplus to requirements on a previous project we have pieced together this elegant entrance to the Cosgrave Brothers latest development on Thormanby Hill in Howth. Site foreman Dave Curley expanding on the architects sketch’s instructed our masons on site. The completed piers are finished to the usual Cosgrave high standarts

North Wicklow Marble & Granite Ltd are lending a hand to our old friends in Granstone on their Áras an Chontae project situated on the Mall in Castlebar, Granstone are acting as main contractors for the removal of the existing Baltic Brown cladding and soffit and the design, supply and fix of G684 and G623 cladding and soffit.

North Wicklow Marble and Granite Ltd are appointed by the Office of Public Works for the supply and fix of Dublin Granite paving to the base of the recently erected flag poles to the quay side courtyards.To ensure complete accuracy the paving was ordered from the quarry in rectangular sections and shaped on site the by our masons to form the completed curved sections required. Work was completed on a Saturday to avoid any disruption to the courts.

Its December already which sees us commence work to the first of three blocks of apartments at Bracken Park for Cosgrave Developments, our brief is the supply and fix of 200m2 of honed Fatima Limestone Cladding over 20m2 of polished Campo Maior Granite plinth to both of the entrance stairwells.

It’s been over eighteen months since we were originally approached by Imogen Stuart and Philip O’Neill in relation to Imogen’s design for the new Ambo for St Mel’s Cathedral in Longford. During this period we were involved with detailed planning in relation to transport, access to the Cathedral and fixing methodology which included numerous visits to both Philips workshop and the cathedral itself, on the 14th of November 2014 the Ambo was successfully erected on the high altar of the restored cathedral to the satisfaction of all involved.

For almost two decades now  we have taken responsibility for the transport and erection of numerous delicate works of art by both Imogen and Philip erecting pieces in schools, hospitals, churches, private residents,  art galleries and public realms across Ireland, following the success of this their most recent work we now look forward to their next challenge.

August sees work commence in Enfield, working with our old friends Deirlem construction we are supplying 30mm flamed and sanded Carlow limestone cladding traditionally fixed back to block work partly to the new extension and partly to the renovated existing premises, Work is completed over 3 phases with completion in early October inline with the overall works programme and on budget.

Mid July sees us commence work to the Altadore nursing home in Glenageary. Having agreed terms with Townlink construction we are supplying Moca Crème honed limestone cladding over Branco Michaela flamed granite plinth with granite capping at parapet level. Having worked with Townlink previously and understanding their efficient systems of work this project was completed on budget and schedule.

Its June already and following the completion of the new pedestrian bridge in Barrow street which is joining three office blocks at second floor level we are on site at Gordon House with GIG Facades to re-fix Moleanos Limestone previously removed by GIG Facades to facilitate the bridge works.
